History of the Theater T.A.L.
Theater TAL began its journey in 2009 as a performing arts program under the Rothem Institute for Wholistic Healing and Arts, a non-profit organization. However, its roots trace back to 2003 with the premiere of the play “No Vacancy, LA?”
Since its inception, Theater TAL has consistently shared the stories of immigrant and Christian life through original bilingual musicals. Following the pandemic, the organization was re-established as an independent non-profit in 2022, continuing its mission with renewed vigor.
Each year, Theater TAL produces an original bilingual Christmas musical, alongside a regular play and healing program in May for the Symposium on Healthy Family Building. It also offers a variety of workshops, including performance training for young actors, autobiography writing workshops, and “Woman, Finding Myself,” a drama and healing workshop.
